]]>Our paper, “Automated Vulnerability Detection in ASP.NET Applications: An African Context Approach,” tackles a critical challenge facing Nigerian organizations. With government portals, banking systems, and enterprise applications predominantly built on Microsoft’s .NET framework, vulnerabilities in these systems pose direct threats to Nigerian citizens’ data and our digital economy’s integrity.
This research represents Nigerian ingenuity applied to Nigerian problems, with solutions designed for African infrastructure realities.
Our team developed innovative approaches that are already making a difference:
Context-Aware Security Testing: Tools specifically designed to identify vulnerabilities common in African deployment environments where infrastructure constraints differ from Western contexts
Practical Implementation Guidelines: Secure coding standards written for Nigerian developers, using real examples from local government and banking applications
Automated Detection Framework: Free, open-source tools that Nigerian organizations can deploy immediately to assess their applications—no expensive licenses required
Real-World Validation: Testing conducted on actual Nigerian government web portals (with permission), identifying and helping fix 23 critical vulnerabilities before criminals could exploit them
