Dr. Oluwaseun Adeyemi
Dr. Adeyemi leads RiverStar's research agenda with a vision for building Nigeria's digital security infrastructure. With a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Lagos and 15 years of cybersecurity research experience, he coordinates strategic collaboration with Chinese partners. His leadership drives our mission to transform cybersecurity education, create employment opportunities, and position Nigeria as West Africa's premier technology hub through innovative research and international partnerships.
Dr. Chidi Okonkwo
Dr. Okonkwo specializes in 5G security protocols and critical infrastructure protection, bringing deep expertise from his years at Nigeria's National Information Technology Development Agency. He spent six transformative months in China researching network security protocols—an experience that exemplifies our China-Nigeria knowledge exchange. As our technical lead and primary research mentor, he manages analytical studies on emerging cyber threats in West African financial systems and guides the next generation of Nigerian cybersecurity professionals.
Emeka Okafor
Emeka transforms research into practical solutions that protect Nigerian systems today. He builds simulation environments replicating Nigerian critical infrastructure, develops training modules for local workforce development, and maintains our threat emulation platform. His work ensures that our research findings translate into actionable security improvements for government agencies, financial institutions, and enterprises across Nigeria. Emeka embodies our commitment to bridging the gap between academic research and real-world impact.
Tunde Bakare
Tunde is the backbone of RiverStar's technical operations, managing secure research networks and infrastructure that enable our cross-border collaboration with Chinese partners. He ensures compliance with both Nigerian and international data protection standards while maintaining specialized cybersecurity testing equipment. His meticulous attention to security protocols and operational excellence provides the foundation that allows our researchers to conduct cutting-edge work confidently and safely.
Ngozi Eze
Ngozi represents the future of Nigerian cybersecurity—a recent Master's graduate in Information Security from the University of Nigeria who is gaining hands-on experience while working toward becoming a full Cybersecurity Researcher. She assists with data collection, analysis, and research documentation, supports our local tech incubator initiatives, and helps coordinate joint projects with Chinese research partners. Her journey from student to emerging researcher exemplifies the career pathways RiverStar creates for young Nigerian talent passionate about contributing to our nation's digital security.
